To begin our Fall Lecture Series, IAAS will welcome Professor Christoph Emmrich from the University of Toronto. He will present his work "Niṣṭhānanda’s Lalitavistara Project: How a Buddhist Priest Gave the Newars Moveable Type, Textualized Their Spoken Language, and Fitted Much of their Narrative Literature into the Buddha’s Life" on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 1:15 pm.
